In this hands-on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) seminar, you’ll learn simple and effective self-defense techniques to escape grabs, break free from pins, and stay safe under pressure.
Designed for women and teens ages 13 and up, this class offers a safe and supportive space to build confidence and train at your own pace with trusted partners.
No experience or special gear is required — just wear comfortable workout clothes and be ready to move!

About the Women’s Self-Defense class instructor
This class is taught by Eva K.
Eva is a black belt under Professor Pedro Sauer and has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over ten years.
Eva teaches both the kids and adult classes, including the women’s Jiu-Jitsu program, at One Spirit Martial Arts (OSMA) in Herndon, VA.

Yes, the majority of the practical techniques you’ll learn on December 7th come from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We focus on high-percentage, real-world BJJ-based defenses that work regardless of size or strength: escaping grabs, breaking holds, defending from the ground, and more. No prior BJJ experience needed as everything is taught from scratch in this one-hour session.
