The Compound Duals -- White Belts Volume I (Gi): March 07th, 2026 in Silver Spring, MD.

Why should an athlete sign up for White Belt Team Duals?

White Belt Team Duals, hosted by The Compound Fight House in Silver Spring, MD, offers a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition experience that is more supportive, more active, and less stressful than traditional individual tournaments.

Instead of being eliminated after a single loss, athletes compete as part of a 7-person academy team in a double-elimination format, guaranteeing multiple matches and meaningful mat time.

The rules and match lengths are specifically designed for white belts: short matches, streamlined scoring, and an emphasis on action, control, and submissions — this makes the event ideal for building real competition skills without the confusion or pressure of complex rule sets.

You’ll have teammates beside you, coaches actively coaching between duals, and shared momentum as your team advances together — this should help to reduce anxiety, build confidence, and helps first-time competitors ease into competition while still challenging more experienced white belts.

Most importantly, the format is fun and developmental.

With guaranteed matches, the potential for five to seven duals for advancing teams, and a high-energy atmosphere, athletes leave with more experience, stronger camaraderie, and a deeper enjoyment of the sport — not just a medal or an early exit.

In short: more matches, less pressure, real learning, and a true team experience — all tailored for white belt athletes.
